    Additional Information

    Parking

There are some parking spaces at the back of our dental surgery, however, a large car park is situated on High Street, just down the road between Asda and Arnold Leisure Centre. Parking is free for the first two hours; please display a ticket available from the machines. Asda also has covered parking for a maximum of two and a half hours.

    Disabled access

We welcome patients of all abilities and have wheelchair access to all our downstairs surgeries. A ramp is available for use from the disabled parking bay to avoid the front steps. If you require assistance, please try to give prior notice and we will do all we can to help. Alternatively please ring the doorbell and we will endeavour to come to offer our assistance with the doors.

    Emergency care

We understand that in a dental emergency you need to be seen promptly and we allow time each day for emergency appointments. If you are a registered patient in need of emergency dental care over a weekend or Bank Holiday, please call us on 0115 9200571 and listen to the answer machine message. Unlike many other dental practices, our emergency care is provided by our dentists thereby extending our superb continuity of care.

For NHS exempt adults and children you can access out of hours care by dialling 111. This service is commissioned by NHS England and not provided on-site at our practice.

    More information

We aim to always have satisfied patients, to meet your expectations of care and service and to resolve any complaints as efficiently, effectively and politely as possible. We take complaints very seriously, we investigate them fully and fairly and take great care to protect your confidentiality. We learn from complaints to improve our care and service. We will never discriminate against patients who have made a complaint.

If you are not entirely satisfied with any aspect of our care or service please let us know as soon as possible to allow us to address your concerns promptly.

Our practise manager is the person responsible within the practice for dealing with your complaint. If your verbal complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction within 24 hours or if you complain in writing, the practice manager will normally acknowledge it in writing within three working days and will aim to provide a full response in writing within ten working days.

If the practice manager is unavailable, we will take brief details about the complaint and will arrange for a meeting when the person is next available. We will keep comprehensive and confidential records of your complaint, which will be stored securely and only be accessible only by those who need to know about your complaint.

If the complaint investigation takes longer than anticipated the practice manager will keep you informed of the reason for the delay and a likely period within which the investigation will be completed.

When the investigation has been completed, you will be informed of its outcome in writing and invited to a meeting to discuss the results and any practical solutions that we can offer to you.

We regularly analyse patient complaints to learn from them and to improve our services. That’s why we always welcome your feedback, comments, suggestions and complaints. If you are dissatisfied with our response to a complaint you can take it further, please see the contacts below.
