What are they?

Treatment is typically completed in 9 to 15 months, however, this time will vary in each client. After the treatment has been completed, it is important that patients wear the retainer provided when sleeping to maintain straight teeth.

How does the process work?

The first stage is the initial orthodontic assessment, which involves a meeting with one of our Invisalign-certified dentists. This is an opportunity for you to discuss if it is the best route of treatment, based on your needs. If you are suitable for the treatment, you will be asked to visit us for your first Invisalign assessment, in which X rays and impressions are taken. After this your Invisalign journey will begin. Your first clear aligners will be custom made and our team will talk through with you how to keep them clean, as well as helping you practise taking the aligners in and out. From that point onwards, you will change your aligners every 2 weeks to gradually move your teeth to their ultimate position. Whilst this is ongoing, you will be asked to attend regular check-ups to monitor your progress. Towards the last few weeks of the treatment we are able to make any last minute adjustments if necessary, in order to create your perfect smile.

Is it worth it?

It is definitely a worthwhile treatment if you want to achieve straight teeth in a virtually invisible way. The convenience of the aligners is that they are removable, meaning you do not need to limit your diet.
