What Are Invisible Braces?
Looking for a straighter smile? Want a treatment that’s effective, highly rated and super discreet? Want braces here in Nottingham? Then talk to our dentists here in Arnold, Nottingham about Invisalign, our invisible brace treatment.
What is Invisalign?
It’s a clear brace that can be removed any time you wish. It’s made from a kind of acrylic and fits comfortably over your smile. It uses slight pressure to align your teeth over time.
Who is Invisalign for?
Most people who want straight teeth could benefit from these clever invisible braces. It’s suitable in the majority of cases, and can correct jaw problems, improve tooth alignment and even benefit your oral health.
Why have Invisalign?
Invisalign’s invisible braces are:
- Suited to the vast majority of teens and adults
- Able to correct a multitude of teeth straightening concerns
- Predictable, with digital impressions of treatment and results
- A possibility for those with previous braces treatment
Our patients love how they can easily be removed and won’t appear obvious on the smile.
How much is Invisalign?
It depends on the case, so we ask our patients to attend an in-depth consultation here in Nottingham before going ahead with treatment.
What happens during Invisalign treatment?
Providing you’re a candidate for these invisible braces, you’ll have impressions taken of your smile to create a treatment programme and anticipated results. An aligner is created for each stage of treatment, usually worn for around 2 weeks before changing to the next progressive set. You can have dental check-ups during your treatment, too.
Do I need retainers after Invisalign?
Yes, though these can also be invisible. Your dentist will advise on when to wear your retainer, but usually, patients wear them overnight.
Can I eat with Invisalign in?
No, it’s not possible to do this because it could stain the invisible braces or damage the apparatus (or your mouth). The same goes for most drinks (except water) and of course, chewing gum.
Can I sleep with Invisalign braces?
Yes, your invisible braces will need to be worn overnight.
How do I clean my Invisalign?
To keep them clear, rinse on removal and reinsertion and soak in Invisalign cleaning crystals every few days. You can also use a gentle toothbrush on them.
How do I start treatment?
You can contact our Nottingham practice or book online for advice, information and appointments. With Invisalign, you’ll also need a consultation to check it’s right for you.
